Home is where the heart is, but it’s so much more. NECAC opens the door to new housing and homeownership opportunities with a variety of innovative programs and cooperative efforts.

The agency works with its funding partners to develop apartment complexes, provide housing, weatherize homes, offer foreclosure mitigation and so much more. NECAC brings together government agencies, private businesses and other non-profit organizations to make a lasting impact.

In the past year, NECAC led efforts for a USDA Great Regions designation in a 35-county area of Northeast Missouri, West-Central Illinois and Southeast Iowa. The agency was recognized for its investment of more than $5 million in the construction of affordable housing, completed the rent-to-own homes project, received authorization to process USDA direct home loans, continued development of the Healthy Homes and Aspire Partnership prison homes programs, weatherized hundreds of homes and put additional families on the path to owning a home.
